Computer and Printer Financing

Your team's computers are the tools they touch every hour of the day. When machines slow down, drop out of warranty, or can't run the latest operating system, productivity and security both suffer. Replacing a whole office at once, though, can mean a big check right when you'd like to keep cash on hand.

Financing lets you refresh laptops, desktops, workstations, and print equipment on a predictable schedule. MissionFund compares options from 60+ lending sources so you can match the structure to how long each device will stay in service.

Computers and Printers We Help You Finance

  • 01

    Laptops and Tablets

Laptops and tablets carry the load for hybrid teams, field staff, and anyone who works from more than one desk. Business class models usually add stronger build quality, longer parts availability, better keyboards, and management features your IT team can use to lock or wipe a lost device. When you buy, think about battery life, weight, docking compatibility, and whether rugged tablets make sense for warehouse or job site work. Plan for accessories too: docks, cases, and extra chargers add up across a large team, and lenders can often include them on the same quote.

    Desktops

Desktops remain the most cost effective choice for front desks, call centers, accounting teams, and anyone who works from a fixed spot. Small form factor and mini models save space and power, while tower models leave room for upgrades. Look for enough memory to handle today's browser heavy workloads, solid state storage, and support for multiple monitors. Many firms bundle monitors, keyboards, and docking stations into the same financing so an entire workstation arrives ready to go.

    Engineering Workstations

Engineering workstations are built for architects, engineers, video editors, and data analysts who push software far harder than email and spreadsheets. They use professional graphics cards, error correcting memory, and processors with high core counts, and the vendors certify them for applications like CAD, simulation, and rendering. Buying one means matching specs to your software vendor's certified hardware list. Because these machines cost several times more than an office desktop, financing them helps you give power users the right tools without squeezing the rest of the budget. See our CAD and CAM software financing page for the design side.

    Printers and Copiers

Multifunction printers and copiers handle printing, scanning, faxing, and document routing for busy offices, while wide format and production printers serve design firms, schools, and print shops. When you shop, compare monthly page volume ratings, toner and service costs, scan to cloud features, and secure release printing that holds jobs until the user badges in. Many buyers pair a lease with a service agreement from the dealer. Refurbished copiers from an established dealer can be a good value, and some lenders will finance them.

Why Finance Computers Instead of Paying Cash

Computers depreciate quickly, so tying up cash in them rarely makes sense. Financing spreads the cost over the time you'll actually use the devices and keeps your bank balance ready for payroll, hiring, and marketing.

It also keeps your existing credit lines open for emergencies. And because a lease can end with an upgrade option, you can move to newer machines on a regular refresh cycle instead of stretching old ones until they fail. Equipment purchases may qualify for Section 179 deductions; check with your tax professional.

What Your Financing Can Include

Depending on the lender, your computer financing may cover more than the devices themselves:

  • Monitors, docks, keyboards, and other peripherals
  • Operating system and productivity licenses bundled on the same quote
  • Imaging, configuration, and asset tagging from your reseller
  • Extended warranties and accidental damage coverage
  • Delivery, setup, and data migration from old machines
  • Copier service agreements when the dealer bundles them

Programs That Work Well for Computers and Printers

  • Program

    Fair Market Value (FMV) Lease

Lower payments, then upgrade, keep leasing, buy at fair market value, or return it. It fits laptops and desktops you plan to swap out on a set cycle.

  • Program

    Equipment Finance Agreement (EFA)

You own the equipment from day one and make fixed payments. It works for workstations you'll run hard until they're fully used up.

  • Program

    $101 Buyout Lease

Works like the $1 buyout with the final purchase price set at $101. It's a common choice for copiers and production printers you intend to keep.

  • Program

    10% and 15% Residual Lease

Lower payments now, then either pay the set residual and keep the laptops and workstations or return them at your next refresh.

New Business or Established, We Can Help

Starting a new firm? Equipment financing is available from day one, so you can outfit your first team with the right computers before revenue picks up. Established businesses can finance a full refresh or add devices as they hire. Learn more on our technology and software financing page.

What You'll Need

For requests under $150K, lenders can often approve on the application alone. Financial statements can strengthen larger requests. Many deals finalize with just your driver's license and the reseller's invoice or quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have a question?

Talk to a real person. We're happy to walk you through your options.

Can I finance a small number of laptops?

Our funding starts at $10K, so a small team refresh often qualifies, especially once you add monitors, docks, and setup services. If your order is smaller than that, a business line of credit may be a better fit.

Should I lease or buy computers?

If you replace machines on a regular cycle, a Fair Market Value lease usually keeps payments lower and makes upgrades easy. If you plan to run devices until they wear out, an EFA lets you own them from the start.

Can I finance a copier together with its service contract?

Depending on the lender, a copier and its service agreement can sometimes be combined in one payment. Other lenders finance only the equipment and leave service billing with the dealer, so we'll check which approach fits your quote.

Will lenders finance refurbished computers?

Some will, particularly for business class machines sold by an established refurbisher with a warranty. Brand new devices usually have the widest choice of lenders.
